Building Blocks

Happy Halloween!

I hope you have a SPOOK-TACULAR day! (Totally cheesy, right. hehehe) As many of you know I was missing in action all last week because I've been buried under moving boxes. After a long and grueling process we closed on our first house and we are all moved in! I miss blogging and talking to you guys so much! I hope I can get back on track and get my styling juices flowing again to inspire you guys.

Today's outfit is a very girly dress, reminds me of a little girls flower dress. I added a tanned belt from Aldo to accentuate the waist. For a pop of color I wore my red Steve Madden heels. I am really into the block, or chunky heel right now. Do you guys like all the new heels with the thicker heels??? (Shout out to the Husband for the lovely shoes!) Check out the look and the first ever "Before and After" makeover:

The Blue Attraction

Hello Hello :)

Yipee it's Friday! The weekend is finally upon us. I've been really attracted to the color blue lately. Azul Azul...... Today's outfit is just that. I am wearing a F21 romper with a shawl lapel blazer in a tribal pattern from H&M. Blue headband from Nordstrom and Steve Madden cut-out heels.
Tell me ladies what color are you currently attracted to?
Interesting fact I found: In Thailand, blue is associated with Friday on the Thai solar calendar. Good thing I posted it today.
I hope all of you have a beautiful weekend full of love and blessings. Thank you for stopping by.

Love,

IvonneStacy.

Dance Fever

Hola Chicas,

Do you have new clothes in your closet with tags still on it but just don't know where, when or how to wear it? That is exactly what happened with this dress. I bought it about three months ago at F21, but never wore it. Finally this Saturday the hubby and I went dancing and figured this body hugging dress was perfect for a night out. I wore my F21 booties and gold and blue accessories. The dress has a cute peek-a-boo detail in the back. I will definitely wear this dress again with some black tights, maybe  layer it with a vest and a solid color scarf. (I will have to do a post on how to wear this dress in a different way:)
Peek-a boo, I see you~!
It had been such a long time we had danced some bachata, merengue and reggeaton! It felt so awesome to get dance fever again. If you haven't been out with your significant other in a while definitely do. It takes your mind of all the everyday life stresses. Remember  we  never know when our last day will be.

Have a day full of love and blessings.

Love,

IvonneStacy.

Houndstooth + Pop of Color

Hi Dolls,

Another Fall 2011 trend is houndstooth, a classic pattern worn throughout fashion history. Many celebrities have been rocking the look, although Lady Gaga went houndstooth to the tenth power, it works for her. Kim also wore the same Ferragamo wrap dress but she opted for more toned down look with classic red lips and black heels. Love!
I've had a houndstooth mini hanging in the back of the closet for so long and good thing I never got rid of it. I wore it this weekend with a pop of color. The pop was a sheer magenta blouse from F21 and my magenta wedges. Check out the look:

I am in the process of packing up my apt and moving. Girls, I am so stressed out. This whole buying a  house process has taken a toll on me. I hope all of you are doing wonderful! May you have a week full of love and blessings.

Love you all for your continued support.

Flowers + Boots

Hi Dolls,

This weekend I opted for an old school dress from the back of the closet. I remember this dress was so long on me. I grabbed some scissors and cut the dress shorter. It completely changed the look of the dress. Ladies if you have something in the closet that needs revamping don't be afraid to grab some scissors, a needle and some thread. You'll be surprised what you come up with. I also love the criss crossed back of the dress, check it out:
I've been wanting some black boots but they are way to pricey everywhere! I decided to check the boots out at Charlotte Russe and I walked out with these babies for only 40 bucks. Good enough for me :)
Thank you so much for all your sweet comments, they definitely made me feel so much better. My life is non-stop craziness. I will have to try harder to put outfits together and post to inspire all of you. Have a blessed rest of the week.

Love,

IvonneStacy.

Casual Look

Hello Lovelies!

First, I want to say I am so sorry for abandoning you last week! It was just not possible for me to blog :( My life was filled with tears and total chaos! First someone stole my wallet from my desk at work! Can you believe that! Ugh, that was so disappointing and I had to get everything back in order. Oh and they decided to go on a shopping spree with my debit card. I wonder how these people have the courage to cause so much damage, and I wonder if they have any remorse?

Anyway, then I had to coordinate my first major conference at work. Gosh, that just took every bit of energy I had. I am praying everything calms down, and that I have some peace in the next few weeks. But you just never know what life will throw at you.

Outfit of the day: I love this top! I actually found it at a thrift shop for .99 cents. It fits a little over-sized on me, so to balance the look out I wore my skinny white trousers from Zara. Nude heels are from Aldo. The magenta color of the top called for some bright turquoise. So I opted for my Jennifer Miller statement earrings, that I actually wore on my wedding day. Hope you like the casual look.
Please excuse the eyebrows, lol! I was on my way to get them done.
May you have a week full of blessings.

Love,

IvonneStacy.
