Being Thankful...

Happy Thanksgiving Ladies!

Gosh, I have so many things to be thankful for but I will try to keep my list short.
I am thankful for:
My relationship with God and his never ending Grace.
My husband.
Our family.
Our health.
Our Church.
Our jobs.
Our friends.
And last but not least Our Tobi Love.

I also want to take a second and thank you for your loyal following and always leaving me such sweet comments. I hope that you have a beautiful day full of blessings with your family and friends.

Now to the fashion! I wore this dress to a Thanksgiving dinner we had with our friends this past Sunday. Dress is from Target (still available at the store), Aldo nude heels, orange skinny belt from F21, and orange feather earrings from F21. I ended up with one earring by mid afternoon! I guess one flew away, so sad! Check out the look:
Details: Dress is a lovely ruffled one shoulder with polka dots.
RIP Earring.

Have a blessed rest of the week.

Mustard Yellow + Black

Hello Lovelies,

I was browsing outfits on Chictopia a few months ago and came across this cute outfit of a fellow blogger. Unfortunately, I didn't write down her blog, ugh! Every time I get inspired I save the pic and write down the pieces I have in my closet so, that I can recreate the look with my personal pieces (see picture below). How do you keep track of your inspirations? I am wearing a mustard yellow Zara dress with a cute ruffled skirt, a black boyfriend blazer from F21, black tights and black Steve Madden heels. Shout out to my husband for the new Nixon watch, love it!!! Check it out the look:
She was my inspiration :)
Earrings from F21 with little owls on them.
Cinched the waist with a skinny belt .

Ruffles, Ruffles...
Have a blessed rest of the week! Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to visit my blog!!!

Verde + Blanco

Hola Chicas,

I know, the sky might be falling, I am actually posting two days in a row, lol! I've been feeling really inspired lately, I really hope I can start doing more outfit posts, to inspire you too.

Outfit: White Jeans from Zara, I cuffed the bottoms because they are way too long. Green top from back in the day, I have no clue where it's from, and my nude Mary Janes from Aldo. My inspiration for this outfit was this skinny green belt I found at F21 for only $2.50. Gotta love that price! I accessorized with gold and green accessories, and look at these earrings...Oh my, oh my!!! (Sorry, I get little excited with accessories :) These earrings are also from F21. They remind me of vintage Glamour, just beautiful. Only if they were real Emeralds, right?
Hope you have a wonderful, blessed weekend. Thank you so much for visiting the blog.

Army Green + Black

One more day ladies and it's Friday! I didn't even work on Monday but it still felt like a long week. What is wrong with me? Fortunately next week is a short week. Will any of you be traveling for Thanksgiving? Can you even believe it is already Thanksgiving! Gosh, time is really an illusion. Anyway, I can totally ramble and ramble.

My outfit is a combination of black and army green. Sheer black top is from JC Penney, green H&M tights, and Steve Madden boots from the 1970's. Ok, I am exaggerating a little, but these boots are old. I think I bought them my sophomore year in high school. They are definitely from back in the day.

Ladies,  you don't have to go to shopping every weekend to get new outfits. Sit in your closet and try to remix all those clothes you have. This outfit is just that, pieces that always sit in the back of my closet but I never wear. Be creative, play dress up, and more importantly it's free.
 Aren't these earrings amazing! (F21)

Have a day full of love and blessings.

Sheer White

Hello Dolls,

When getting ready in the morning think of layering. It adds more style to a simple outfit. I have this simple blue/purple-ish dress from F21 that I layered over a sheer white top, also from F21. And over the collar I layered a statement gold necklace. Check out the look:

Have blessed rest of the week.

Orange Maxi + Leopard

Hola Chicas,

Today is my Friday, wohooo! I am off tomorrow and Monday (Gracias a Dios!). I am so happy I can stay home, sleep in and relax. Do you guys have big plans for the weekend?
I also worked on my first Home DIY project, I did take pictures but since this is a fashion blog I wasn't sure if I should post home decor/ DIY projects. Definitely leave me a comment and let me know if you would like for me to post these projects or stick to the Fashion.
I am wearing an orange maxi dress from F21, a leopard scarf from H&M, and black wedges. I added a belt to accentuate my waist. This was the first time, EVER, I wear a maxi dress, and I loved it. It was so comfortable! I am only 5'3 so I figured I was too short to wear this type of dress, but I really liked it.
Thank you so much for reading the blog. I pray that all of you have a blessed rest of the week and a wonderful weekend.

Heart Warming

Hello to all my beautiful Readers,

Yesterday I was looking through my daily blog roll and read Miss Natty's Beauty Diary. Her post was so heart warming, and it touched me so much that I have to share it with you! Click on the above link and it will take you to her full post. Here are some lessons she took away from her fathers recent passing.
"1) Life is short. You don't really understand how short it is until you lose someone you love.
2) You can't be prepared for death. You will never be prepared. The only thing you can do to prepare yourself is love the ones around you and don't "put-off" spending time with your loved ones for a rainy day. Love your loved ones every day.
3) Don't be selfish. Being selfish isn't good for your inner spirit. In order for your spirit to grow and to be happy from within, you can't be selfish.
4) Don't talk bad about others. If the people around you are talking negative about another person, be the one to change their thinking (to each their own?) or don't comment on the matter.
5) Don't hold grudges. What's the point?
6) Surround yourself with positive energy. Positive energy will motivate you. Negative energy will only bring you down.
7) Love everybody. Yep, everybody. This ties into #4 Don't talk bad about others. It's not right to judge another person for their beliefs, the way they were raised, their personality, the things they like, etc. Everyone is different and you have to be accepting of others. Once you accept others as they are, you'll feel such happiness from within. You are no better than anyone else. Having more money doesn't make you "better".
8) Always appreciate what others do for you. Don't expect anything from anyone ever and you won't be disappointed. When you're not expecting anything, that's when you're really thankful.
9) You were born as dust and you will leave as dust. You won't leave with your money or your expensive things. You can have expensive things, but you have to remain humble. Money isn't everything and vanity isn't everything.
10) Always be optimistic. Never give up, or lose hope. There are open doors for all of us in life.
11) Always attend a funeral/wake if you're able to. It means a lot to the family. I know it may not be an environment you like, because death is something that scares all of us, but I know how comforting it really is to have lots of people around you.
12) When someone you love dies, they are only gone physically. You can talk to them out loud any time you want, and they will listen to you.
13) You will have some days that are good and some that are bad. You can't be strong allof the time, and that is fine.
14) Be happy for what you have, and don't be bitter for what you don't have.
15) Don't be afraid of going to the doctor for a routine check-up."

Sometimes we just need a little reminder to live life to the fullest, and not let the little things get to us. Thanks for visiting the blog Chicas!

Black + Blue + Bow

Gosh I cannot believe it's November! Can you? I just cannot believe the year is almost over. In the blink of an eye and Christmas will be here. I want to tell myself I will not procrastinate with the holiday shopping but who am I kidding! I will be running around the week before Christmas looking for last minute gifts. Are you guys procrastinators? I am definitely guilty.

Today's outfit includes a plaid black and blue skirt from F21, silky black top from F21, Steve Madden knee high boots (old), and gold accessories from F21 and H&M. Oh and the necklace is too cool, check it out:

Bow Necklace from F21.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave me such nice comments. I am so grateful for each of you. May you have a blessed  rest of the week.

Thank you Wendy Brandes for the feature on the Huffington Post. Also, thank you to Zulema for making my blog the "Blog of the Week" on her blog, Fashion1psychology!
